Mystery Magicians At NAMM ‘26
We had the pleasure of exhibiting at NAMM 2026 and it went by far too quickly.
This year we shared a booth with our distributor Kensington Audio Services along with our extended gear family Black Box Analog Design Standard Audio and Overstayer Recording Equipment. The booth was nonstop in the best way. We met an incredible number of engineers producers builders and dedicated gear fanatics and the energy throughout the weekend was unreal.
Introducing the LBDI and RBDI
NAMM 2026 marked the debut of two new tube based Instrument Preamp and Re Amp Direct Boxes named LBDI and RBDI.
LBDI which stands for (Lunch Box DI) and is a compact portable desktop tube DI designed for flexibility and ease of use. Its sister unit RBDI or( Rack Box DI) is a 1U rack mountable unit built for permanent studio and touring setups.
Both units share the exact same circuit, delivering identical sound and performance in two different enclosures, allowing users to choose what best fits their workflow whether in the studio or on the road.

We also had the opportunity to walk the Vintage King crew through the design and intent behind the LBDI and RBDI and we took part in a short interview to dig deeper into the details. It is always great connecting with people who genuinely understand and care about audio gear.

The LBDI and RBDI DI Preamps are available now and shipping through authorized dealers as well as direct.
